Geraldine Peterson Obituary

Geraldine Peterson Plymouth Peterson, Geraldine (Gerry) Rose, Plymouth, formerly of Brockton, died on Oct. 27, at Brockton Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born on Sept. 17,1927, and raised in Randolph, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Ethel A. (Fisher) Briand. She was predeceased by her husband, Warren C. Peterson of Brockton; and a brother Albert E. Briand of Kingston. She is survived by a sister Shirley (Briand) Maloof from New Hampshire; and four sons, Dana and his wife Debbie, Dale and his wife Nancy, Edward and his wife Laura, and Alan, all from Ma. She has ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces; and nephews. During her school years she was a drum majorette with the school band, performing on stage at the Randolph Theatre. She worked at Randolph Mfg. as a stitcher for several years and during that time she loved to go ice skating, dancing, and spend time with her friends. After marrying Warren on Aug. 21, 1949, they lived in Brockton for many years, where she was also a stitcher for StrideRite. In 1995, they moved to Plymouth where they both loved walking along the waterfront and attending the July 4 festivities. They also took many bus trips with great stories on their return. Her life was full of love for her family. She was a good wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The visitation will take place at Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth, on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007 from 4-7 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. at Cartmell Funeral Home followed by interment in Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth, MA
