J. Raynard Obituary

J. Edward Raynard Brockton J. Edward Raynard, 87 years, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, in his home after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Catherine F. (Slowey) Raynard for 63 years. Born June 23, 1920, in Brockton, he was a son of the late Joseph F. and Marion D. (Lessard) Raynard. A lifelong resident of Brockton, Eddie attended Brockton schools and graduated from Brockton High School and Brockton Business College. He was a World War II veteran. Eddie worked for Firestone Tire in Brockton, Super Tire in Bridgewater and the U.S. Post Office in Brockton, from which he retired in 1984, after 27 years of service. He was a member of the Enterprise Club in Brockton, where he most recently served as treasurer. He was involved in many projects at the club and was a loyal member and valued friend to many. Eddie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed reading. He was the devoted father of Mary Ann Albert and her husband Charles of Brockton, Sheila Fox and her husband Lawrence of Brockton; loving grandfather of Denise Analoro, Peter Albert, Melissa Torrey, Jennifer Emmett, Jeffrey Albert, Rachel Fletcher and Danielle Lanzillo; great-grandfather of Jessica Analoro, Blake Fletcher, Jeremy Torrey, Charles Analoro, Kayla Torrey, Cole Analoro, Richard Torrey, Dominic and Noah Emmett and Josh and Max Albert. Funeral from Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Wednesday at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church at 9 a.m. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Raynard,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Mrs.Raynard and Family...I've been priviledged to have met and worked with Ed ...he was a dear friend and my mentor...there are so few people that you can say that have touch your heart and soul and Ed did that for me and I was lucky enough to be able to say he was a big influnce on me..my heart is very heavy right now and there never seems to be words to say that could stop the hurt and sorrow...again my heart goes out to all of you...the world has lost a very wonderful person...God Bless..Domenic & Stefni & Savannah & Domenic James Ricci
