Kevin Rose Obituary

Kevin A. Rose Bridgewater Kevin A. Rose, a lifelong resident of Bridgewater, died suddenly at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Oct. 27, 2007. Born in Stoughton, he was a 1979 graduate of Bristol Plymouth High School, where he was class Valedictorian. At graduation, he was awarded the Senior Governor Award from Michael Dukakis. After high school, he graduated from Johnson & Wales University, Summa Cumlaude, with a bachelor's degree and a GPA of 4.0. He was a manager for Burger King for the past three years. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, where he was an Eagle Scout, the Elks Club and was a past director of the Bridgewater Civil Defense. He enjoyed cooking, cruising and being a foster parent. He is survived by his wife, Paula (Rodrigues); he was a son of Esther (Sargent) Rose of Bridgewater and the late Joseph; brother of Joseph L. and Daren J., both of Bridgewater, and the late Michael F. Rose; foster parent of Kevin Bossardt of Bridgewater. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was the grandson of the late Emma and Joseph Rose, Marjorie Godsoe-Sargent and Lawrence Sargent. A funeral service will be held Friday in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday from 5-8 p.m.

Hello Paula. Im glad we could come to the funeral home tonight to pay our respects to Kevin. It was nice to see you but sad because of the circumstances. He was a very sweet man and my 2 older children remember him driving them to your house every day! You two were very important in their early years. He will be sadly missed.

Paula, Ester, Joey, and Darren: So sorry. We had such good times together. Some of my most happiest memories. I can hardly think of the right things to say. Most of all I keep looking back at the good times and they were so good.

The Bristol Plymouth Class of 1979 was blessed to have such a wonderful friend and leader. We are deeply sorry for the loss to his family and they should be very proud of the wonderful man Kevin was to all that knew him.

My cousin Kevin was a wonderful Men.There was no one like him. We loved him deeply.And for years Kevin and Paula were Dad and Mom to me and I thank them for that. Kevin was a very sweet special men.
