Marguerite Calhoun Obituary

Marguerite L. Calhoun Mansfield Marguerite L. (Monroe) Calhoun, 80, of Mansfield, formerly of Easton, died on Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at home. She was the beloved wife of Edward H. Calhoun Sr. Born in Easton, on March 31, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Merle L. and Dorothy V. (Brown) Monroe Sr. In addition to her beloved husband of nearly 62 years, she is survived by her devoted children, Dorothy A. Souza and her husband Tony of Mansfield, Edward H. Calhoun Jr. of Mashpee and Brian M. Calhoun of Hull; she was the dear sister of Elissa Teixeira of Norton and the late Eudora Faria, Merle Monroe Jr. and Kenneth Monroe; also surviving are her cherished grandchildren, Patricia S. Ransom and her husband Dale of Norton, Paula J. Souza and her fiance Richard Brown of Bridgewater and Edward H. Calhoun III and Erin M. Calhoun, both of Mashpee; her great-granddaughters, Lauren and Erica Ransom; as well as many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15, from 4-7 p.m. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the funeral home immediately following visitation. Private burial will be held at a later date in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. For additional information or complete obituary, please visit www.shermanjackson.com.
