Helen Anderson Obituary

Helen F. Anderson Brockton Helen F. (Maguire) Anderson, 80 years, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at West Acres Nursing Home after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Wesley W. Anderson. Born in Bos-ton, daughter of the late John and Mary M. (Murray) Ma-guire, she was a graduate of Avon High School and had been a resident of Brockton for more than 50 years. Helen had been employed as a sales clerk for various stores in Brockton and retired from the Braemoor Nursing Home as a kitchen aide in the late 1980s. Throughout her life, she had been a loving mother and caretaker to her immediate and extended families. She enjoyed reading, shopping, trips to Foxwoods and loved her cats. She is survived by three sons, Wesley J. and Daniel E., both of Brockton, and James W. of Winchester; her daughter-in-law, Deborah J. Anderson; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Elaine Bracken of Florida, Joan Bertowicz of Canton and Sylvia Kaval of East Bridgewater. She was the sister of the late James and John Maguire. Visiting hours will be held Friday 9:30-11:30 a.m. in Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton. Graveside service at 1:15 p.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Donations in Helens name may be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation, 1220B Joppa Road, Ste. 328, Baltimore, MD 21286.
