Arthur Tebou Obituary

Arthur R. Tebou Bridgewater Arthur R. Tebou, a 35-year resident of Bridgewater, died on Nov. 20, 2007, at Kindred Northeast in Stoughton. He was 70. Born and raised in Gloucester, a son of the late John R. and Lucy (Lane), he was a graduate of Gloucester High School. He served with the U.S. Navy for 35 years, retiring December 30, 1981, off the USS Constitution as a chief petty officer. After retiring, he worked for 15 years at Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Brockton for 15 years. He was a mason and was active in Bridgewater Youth Soccer and was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Bridgewater. He enjoyed spending time with his wife at their home in New Brunswick, Canada. He was the husband of Judith (Mandeville) Tebou; father of Jamie L., Cheryl E. Seavey and her husband Jim, all of Bridgewater, and John "Steven" and his wife Bridget of North Carolina; brother of Eugene Tebou and Marilyn Piraino, both of Gloucester. Also survived by five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Main Street, Bridgewater, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:30 p.m. Visiting hours are on Sunday in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, from 2-5 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Cheryl,
We are so very sorry to hear of the loss of your father. Know now that he is not suffering any longer and he is at peace. I know the feeling of losing your Dad, but always remember the happy times, that has always worked for me. My mother also wanted to send her thoughts and prayers to you and your family also. If you need anything please know I am here for you.

Dear Judy and Family,
Please accept our condolences on your sad loss. Art was a great man and a good friend and will be missed by all.
