Roland Hultstrom Obituary

Roland E. Hultstrom Middleboro Roland E. Hultstrom, age 82 years, of Middleboro, formerly of Braintree, died on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at Nemasket Health Care, Middleboro, after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Mary (Maguire) Hultstrom. He was born in New York City, a son of the late Erland and Ingeborg (Camp) Hultstrom. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force, during World War II, as a first lieutenant. He was a supervisor for Otis Elevator Co., retiring after 42 years of service. After retirement, he taught a re-certification program for elevator mechanics. He attended Rock Village Church, Middleboro. He was a member of the Adams Heights Men's Club and a retired chairman of the Elevator Safety Board of Appeals. He was a ballroom dancer enthusiast. Survivors include three sons, James M. Hultstrom of Beverly, Christopher L. Hultstrom of Middleboro and Robert Scott Hultstrom of Arizona; one daughter Barbara A Priestly of Middleboro; eight grandchildren. He was father of the late John B. Hultstrom. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 25, at 2 p.m., in the Rock Village Church, Miller Street, Middleboro. Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend, will be held in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St., Middleboro, on Saturday, Nov. 24, from 2-5 p.m. Burial will be in Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree, on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Donations in his memory to Kingston House, Boston Rescue Mission, 39 Kingston St., Boston, MA 02111, would be appreciated. Mr. Hultstrom,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
