Mona Fraser Obituary

Mona A. Fraser Brockton Mona A. (Daley) Fraser, 83 years, of Whitman, formerly of Brockton, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at her home. She was the wife for 50 years of the late William G. Fraser. Born and raised in Manchester, England, a daughter of the late Beatrice and Walter Nicholson. She met her husband during World War II in England and came to the United States as a war bride. She resided in Brockton for many years before moving to Whitman in 1987. For many years, she worked at Sears and Roebuck on the West side of Brockton. She was an avid knitter, enjoyed traveling back to England and helped to raise her grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Donald Fraser and his wife Christine of Hanover; and a daughter, Gayle A. Frazier, with whom she made her home in Whitman; Nana to Katie Frazier, Brian Fraser-Swan and his wife Jaclyn, Brittany Fraser, Joseph Prosper and David Prosper; one great-granddaughter, Audrey Fraser-Swan; and several nieces, a nephew and cousins in England. Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Sunday 2-5 p.m. with a prayer service at 3 p.m. Donations in Monas name may be made to Old Colony Hospice, One Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368. Don and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. As you and your mum knew, she was always my "South Shore Mum", and I'll miss her. I'll always remember what a kind, loving and giving person she was to everyone.
