Rose Hallissey Obituary

Rose A. Hallissey Randolph Rose A. (Barton) Hallissey, Nov. 20, , beloved wife of the late John R. Hallissey; loving mother of John B. of Maine, Daniel J. of Randolph; cherished grandmother of Catherine, Jason, Colleen and Megan; sister of Margaret Brokaw of Connecticut and the late Mary Anderson, Kathleen McCarthy, Thelma MacDonald, Florence Libby and Gladys Gardner. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Rose was born in Boston, where she also was raised and educated. She had been a resident of Randolph for 42 years. Rose worked for New England Telephone Co. as an operator for 10 years. She continued to work as an operator for the U.S. Navy for 12 years and also Massport for five years. Rose was a volunteer at the Randolph Senior Center for many years. She enjoyed traveling. Rose was an active parishioner of St. Michael's Church in Avon and St. Mary's Church in Randolph. Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 South Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph, Monday at 9:45 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church in Randolph, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 p.m. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
