Anna M. Ford Holbrook Anna M. (Donovan) Ford, of Holbrook, Nov. 21, 2007, wife of the late John J. Ford Jr.; loving mother of Barbara A. Harrington of Worcester, John E. Ford of Texas, Steven J. Ford of Avon, David F. Ford of Holbrook and Glenn R. Ford of Rhode Island; devoted sister of Robert Donovan of Framingham, Eleanor Petley of New Brunswick, N.J., and late Margaret Wood. Also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 South Franklin St. (Rte. 37), Holbrook, until 8 a. Tuesday followed by a m.funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Holbrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in Union Cemetery, Holbrook. Mrs. Ford died at the age of 84 in the Blue Hill Alzheimer Care Center, Stoughton. She was born in West Somerville and had lived in Holbrook for the past 50 years. She was a graduate of Brighton High School and attended Fisher College. She was a retired payroll clerk for the town of Holbrook, where she worked for 20 years. Prior to the town of Holbrook, she had worked for New England Telephone Co., for about five years. She was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, a former den mother for Cub Scouts for many years. Mrs. Ford was also a member of the Holbrook Council on Aging, the Josephine's at St. Joseph Church, Holbrook, and the Holbrook Golden Ages. She also enjoyed traveling and reading. Mrs. Ford,
Maam, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
