Daniel Helms Obituary

Daniel A. Helms Whitman Daniel A. Helms, 24, died Sunday in Brockton Hospital, after a brief illness. He was a son of Dorothy (Dodge) and David Lemieux of Whitman and Arthur S. Helms Jr. of Abington. Daniel was born in Boston, brought up in Whitman, a graduate of South Shore Vo-Tech, Class of 2002. He was a 3rd year apprentice at the Walsh Mechanical in Abington and was a member of the Sheet Metal Union, Local 17. Daniel loved working on cars, riding motorcycles, enjoyed computers and spending time with family. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Roger and Shirley Greenough of Abington, Helen Lemieux of Duxbury; his great-grandmother, Mary E. Smith of Whitman; his sister, Samantha Lemieux of Whitman; his fiance, Jessica Murphy of Rockland; many aunts, uncles and cousins. His funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 30, at 10 a.m., in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle), Whitman. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Abington. Visiting hours Thursday, Nov. 29, 4-8 p.m. Donations may be made to Brigham and Women's Hospital, Friends of NICU, 75 Francis St., Boston, MA 02115. I never had the chance to get to know dan but knowing how fond and in love you were, I knew he must be a good guy. I wished only happiness for you both and now i wish peace for dan and just remember the happiness he brought to everyones life and his big smile when he saw you. Dan,
Who knew a week ago would be the last time our paths would cross,we have had some serious life talks,being how we both got sick about the same time and had serious battles to fight and that WE did,I am really happy to have been apart of your short and would have given anything for you and Jessi to live forever together.John,Bekka,MJ and Connor,I will miss you and forever will you be in our hearts.I know Mj will always do her dance for you.Rest in peace Dan
