My Dear Mary,
You, Kristen and the family are in my prayers. My heart breaks for each one of you. I am so sorry I was unable to be there. As you are aware, I know the pain of losing a child and the are no words that will take away your pain and heartache. Jesus never said that we would not suffer pain and loss but He did say He would never leave us. I love you and I will call you again soon.
Your friend,
Gwen

Mary
All of my prayers are with you. I've never known the loss of a child but I understand the pain of other losses and can only imagine yours. Having met Ray I'm sure he's at peace maybe with others who have passed before. Anything I can do to help just call.
Kristen
I know your pain and my prayers are being sent even as I write this.
Love to you all!

Mary and Bob...my deepest condolences on the loss of your son. I was not at all aware of his passing because I would have been there. I remember him as a wonderful young man anyone would be more than proud to call their son. I cannot begin to tell you how sad I am for your loss and yet glad to know that you had such a treasure for the time he was with us.
Kristin, My heartfelt prayers for you to remain the strong wife and Mother you've always been and be comforted in knowing that Ray will always be an angel to you and your children and that's a wonderful thing. Remember the love and bond that you two shared as it will keep you going through the tough times. My love to the kids!!
Anj, He's still your big brother and now has higher powers to continue his job as your big brother, continue to make him proud.
All my love and wishes for peace and blessings as you grieve such a tremendously deep loss. My prayers to the entire family,
Sydne

My deepest condolences to the Family.

Although I knew Ray as a friend, It was through Mike that we always met-up. I have fond recollections of having enjoyable times during our(sometimes aloof), High school years with both Ray & Mike.

Similar to Ray, I Myself have two Children and have been married 13 years now. It saddens me to think of the grief that must be present at this time.

----
Lord, I pray that You provide a peace that surpasses human understanding during this time for both Family and Friends. Also that financial aspects of this event would not be a lingering burden. Amen

I worked with Ray at Boch KIA. I was his General Manager. He used to joke with me and say " I have had so many General Manager's over the years that I wouldn't even talk to them for at least a month just to see if they would last". Well after a couple years with Ray I kind of won him over and we got to talking quite a lot. I only knew Ray through work but in my opinion to know Ray through work was to know Ray. He was so effortlessly genuine. He never took himself to seriously and he had this unique and special quality about him that really rubbed off on everyone around him. He took his department, the Boch KIA Parts Department and made it into one of the top KIA Parts Departments in the entire country or for that matter the entire world. Not many people realize that Ray himself basically changed and re-wrote the way KIA Motors does business in the parts department. Ray helped and taught them to correct and vastly improve many of their systems and processes. He played a large role and had a significant impact on an International Company. Like the impact he had one every one that knew him. He left us much to early and he will be missed very very much.

My family and I are deeply saddened with the sudden death of Ray. He has always been a part of our family and will be remembered warmheartedly. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

Love always

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

December 3, 2007
