Susan H. Kelly

Susan H. Kelly Randolph Susan H. (Hurst) Kelly, of Randolph died Dec. 1, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 82. She was born and grew up in Brockton. She was a 1943 graduate of Brockton High School and a member of their reunion committee. She was a graduate of Simmons College with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for Brockton VNA, then as a nurse for the Randolph schools and then for the Boston Veterans Hospitals, retiring in 1990. She had been a resident of Randolph for the past 53 years, where she was a member and past president of the Ladies Library Association. She was a member of the Women's Club of Brockton, past president of the P.M. Club of Brockton, also past South Shore Director for the General Federation of Women's Clubs of Mass. Beloved wife of the late John J. Kelly. Mother of John J. Kelly & his wife Donna of Bridgewater, Kevin H. Kelly & Kate Coughlin & family of Walpole and Susan F. Kelly & John Condon of Avon. Daughter of the late John H. Hurst, Susan (Whalen) Hurst & Margaret (Corcoran) Hurst. Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph, Wednesday, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Interment Central Cemetery Randolph. A special thank you to South Shore Hospice and the Visiting Angels for the care they provided to Sue.
