Dave, Danny, & Chrissie,
JoAnne has always held a special place in my heart. There are a very few certain souls you meet along the way in this world that are just special. JoAnne certainly was one of those for me.. I always enjoyed catching up with her off and on through the past 20 or so years.
I know wouldn't have the life that I have today if it wasn't for her and our talks back at GMA and over the years.
It was with her that I decided to get out and see the world.. and what an amazing and enriching experience it has been. It all started in her office with a wonderful talk about life a flip of a quarter that she offered up.. I don't remember if it was heads or tails but the choice was made - it meant that I was to give notice that day and head across country to graduate school 2 weeks later - and the adventure was begun.
Honestly without our wonderful talks and her inspiration to just see what life would bring.. to be open to trying.. open to wonder.. open to experiences.. open to growth. I know I probably wouldn't have had to courage to leap. I owe a lot to her and to say that she will be missed is such an incredible understatement.
My warmest thoughts and prayers are with you all and with her.

My deepest sympathies - I am so sorry -although I have never met your Mother from everything I have heard she was a truly remarkable, generous, and loving person and even while she herself was dealing with her illness she found the strength to help someone else with her battle - truly selfless and inspiring. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love Dana

Dave, Danny & Chrissie, we both loved your mother's company as well as your dad's. We'll never forget your Halloween parties. That was Joanne's favorite holiday! We loved her love of life and her great genuine smile. She'll be in good company upstairs and will be missed by all who knew her. Remember she is still here with you all in spirit! If I remember correctly, I met Joanne in the seventh grade at North Jr. High. As the years went by, Joanne and I would meet every so often. She always had a smile and a pleasure greeting. We would catch up on the past and then I wouldn't see her for a long time. I believe that God puts people into our lives for a "reason, season or a life time". Having had Joanne in my life, has been a blessing and I will miss her.

I worked with Joanne at Westgate Yarn many years ago but she's been in my thoughts often over the years and especially the last few as she and my daughter were now working together. She always had a smile. I never remember a complaint or a sad face. She adored Danny and Chrissie as well as her husband, David. She was a devoted mother and wife. Now I wish I had kept in contact with her, but life gets in the way and we live in the moment. May God bless you, Joanne. David, Danny, Chrissie, remember that she will live forever in the memories and hearts of those who loved her.

Joanne was my best friend for over 40 years! She was there for me, giving her love and support throughout all the highs and lows of my life. Besides being my friend and confidant, she was "Aunty Jo-Jo" to my sons, always participating and playing an important part in the special occasions of their lives! Inspite of her terrible battle with cancer, Joanne still managed to smile, and make time for those who needed her. One of the many things I admired the most about Joanne was that she lived her life with passion, always following her heart and having the inner strength to do it in her own way! She was one of the most honest, giving and optimistic people I have ever had the priviledge of knowing. I honor her determination, loving spirit, her devotion to her family and her unwavering faith. Her presence in my life was a joy and a true blessing. I will miss her terribly! Her passing has left a hole in my life! God Bless and Keep you Joanne.

Dave, Danny, Chrissie, I cannot tell you how much of a loss this is for so many of Joanne's friends and loved ones. Our Catherine and Chrissie have been friends since age 6 and I will always be grateful for Joanne's support, good counsel and advice and Chrissie's generosity with her time when Catherine needed you both and when I couldn't be there.

Rest in peace, Joanne. You'll be in amazing company as you join the other women who fought the good fight with you. God bless.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know Joanne from working with her at CGSMC. She was one of a kind. Always smiling, with a kind word, and she had such a love for life and her family. She made everybody around her smile as well. She will surely be missed by all the lives she has touched.
Rest in peace, Joanne.

As you all know, I have know and loved Joanne for about 38 years. She was not only a great cousin to me she was also a very speical friend to me and many others. She had a gifted spirit and no matter what she was always positive and would share her knowledge and her life experiences to help me and I'm sure many others. I can't say enough about the Cerce family they welcomed me into the family the first day I met them. She was never judgmental of anyone and always found the best in us all. I will never forget Joanne, I will love her and she will be in my heart forever as well as all of her family. I love you all and I think you know how deepley sad we all are. My thoughts and prays are with you today and always.

I met Joanne through my sister-in-law Karen and liked her immediately, that was well over 20 years ago. I never saw her that she wasn't smiling or laughing, even in her most difficult times. She will be missed and the world is a better place because she was here. She was a wonderful person.
