Grace Curran Obituary

Braintree Grace Elizabeth (Cavanagh) Curran, 84 years of age, of Braintree and River Ranch, Florida, died at the Lake Wales Medical Center at Lake Wales, Florida on April 15, 2008. She was born in Braintree and was a life long resident of the town. She graduated from Braintree High School with the class of 1943. She was a member of the Emmanuel Parish in Braintree and had been Past President of the Braintree Womens Club. She was known for her devotion to her family and for her kindness to all who came in contact with her. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Curran to whom she had been married to for 61 years. She is survived by three Children: Paula J. Martel married to Paul Martel of Arlington, Glenn H. Curran married to Fran Curran of Duxbury, and Cynthia L. Gillis married to Chuck Gillis of Braintree. Grace was the mother of the late Gary A. Curran of Winchester who died in 2001 and is survived by his wife Jan Curran of Winchester. Grace is survived by three sisters and two brothers: Celia Kimbrell of Holly Hill, FL, Isabel Kelley of Cohasset, Paul D. Cavanagh of Byfield MA, Robert D. Cavanagh of Bourne and Mary Swift Kelly of Scituate. Grace is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A Eucharistic Funeral Service will be held at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 519 Washington St., BRAINTREE, on Saturday April 26th at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Blue Hill Cemetery Braintree. Visiting Hours will be at the Mortimer N. Peck- Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington St., BRAINTREE, Friday from 4-8 p.m. Memorial Donations may be sent to the Batten Disease Support and Research Association, 166 Humphries Dr., Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. www.bdsra.org For further information please see www.peckservices.com
