Ellen Farrell Obituary

Hingham Ellen L. "Elouise" (Henry) Farrell, age 87, of Hingham, formerly of Braintree, died Sunday, April 20, 2008 at the Harbor House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hingham. She was born in Cambridge, raised and educated in West Quincy schools and was a graduate of Quincy High School. She has lived in Hingham for the past eight years and previously in Braintree for forty-seven years. She had also been a winter resident of Pompano Beach, FL for eight years. Mrs. Farrell was employed as a sales representative for the Elizabeth Arden Cosmetic Company for twenty years. She had been retired for many years. She enjoyed golfing and playing bridge. Mrs. Farrell was devoted to her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beloved wife of the late Charles J. Farrell. Devoted mother of Elouise M. Mischler and her husband David of Braintree, Maureen E. Matthews and her husband Ben of Hingham, Marsha A. Rana and her husband Roger of Fort Lauderdale, FL and the late Charles J. Farrell, Jr. Mother-in-law of Linda Farrell of Braintree. Loving grandmother of David C. Mischler of Hanover, Robert M. Mischler of Canton, Maryellen Mischler of Braintree, Karen Waters of Weymouth, Heather A. Reynolds of Braintree, Jennifer E. Reid of Hanover, Amy E. Silva of Hingham and Elizabeth A. Matthews of Weymouth. Also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and loving family member Shirley Dixon and her husband Neil of Westwood. Sister of the late Imelda Wickwire. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Friday, April 25 at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday, 5-8 PM. Interment Mount Calvary Cemetery, Roslindale. For those who wish, donations in Mrs. Farrell's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1115 West Chestnut Street, Brockton, MA 02301.
