Pup,
We miss you oh so much! I'm happy that I had 24 years with you.. You were the best Grandfather a girl could ask for.. You were always there for us, You even came to my dance recitals! I'm happy that you are resting in peace now and not suffering even though it was so hard to say bye to you.. I hope the waitresses take good care of you in heaven and give you your extra napkins! Don't worry about Nan, we will take good care of her like you did but just make sure you watch over her at all times.. I'm going to go and ride my bike now.. I miss you very much
Love, Shan

Mr. Foley,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Coiuntry when you served in the USN during WW II a Medium Landing Ship crewman and secondly for the citizens of Boston when you served with the BPD. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

To the entire Foley family:
I offer my deepest condolences and my sympathy. Jim was a man I had tremendous respect for as a veteran, a retired police officer, but mainly as a friend. Though we were not related by blood he always took a caring and thoughtful interest in my life, just as if I was one of his own. I have always appreciated that gift that he gave me, I will never forget it, and I am honored to have known him. He is one of the many people in my life who have taught me what the word "friendship" truly means. I will always remember him in my heart and I do hope to see him again one day. At the very least, I don't think I will attend another BC football game without thinking of him. A few hundred miles are between us now but please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you are comforted by your memories of Jim and the pride you must have in loving such a wonderful man. All my best...

Jim will always be remembered as a man of great character and integrity. We will miss him immensely and I will always think of Jim and BC football... He was such a great fan...and his spirit will live on at "The Heights". In addition to being a great police officer and a friend to all who knew him... his greatest legacy is his family...
Our love and prayers are with Jim and his family.
