Earl Tutty Obituary

Hingham Earl L. Tutty of Hingham died May 22, 2008. Devoted husband of the late Marie (Putnam) Tutty. Beloved father of Pamela Tutty of Hingham, and David Smith and his wife Paula Garvin of Plymouth. Cherished grandfather of Jason, Nicole, Casey, and Amanda Smith; Paul and Christopher Garvin; Ryan Garrity and 2 great-grandchildren. Loving brother of Patsy Ruthuford of FL, Gracie McWilliams of Hull, Frank McWilliams of Hull, and the late Bobby McWilliams. Earl was born in Canada and came to the United States when he was 13 years old. In his late teens, he served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Earl was a machinist for Boston Gear Works in Quincy before retiring in 1993. After retirement, he worked in the Deli Dept of Stop & Shop for over 10 years. He was a member of the VFW Post # 1787 in Hull. Earl enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., HINGHAM, Wednesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul's Church, Hingham at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8 p.m. Burial in Saint Paul's Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Earl L. Pam and Ryan:
As hard as the last few weeks have been, remember the good times and that Papa is now at peace with Nana. Be thankfull that we all knew the end was comming and were able to say our goodbyes.
Live the life that he wanted for the two of you and remember that they are now both watching over you.

Mr. Tutty,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
