Claire McCarthy Obituary

Kingston Claire M. (McCavley) McCarthy, died on May 24, 2008 at the Vay Path Nursing Home in Duxbury. She was the wife of the late James L. McCarthy Mother of James L. McCarthy, Jr. and his wife Ann Donahue of Reno NV and Cecilia and her husband Robert Mullen of Milton. Sister of the late Joseph McCavley and Mary McCavley Darcy. Grandmother of Jessica and Lori McCarthy and Caitlin and Brian Mullen. Great-grandmother of 3. Claire was born in Dorchester and has lived in Chicago, Manhattan, Needham and many years in Rock Nook Point. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph's Parish in Kingston and a member of Mater Dei. She recently retired as the director of the LOVE program at St. Joseph's and was an active volunteer at Silver Lake Commons. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rt 106) Kingston. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Church in Kingston, Mass time and date will be posted at the Funeral Home the night of the calling hours or call 781-585-4453. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Kingston. Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
