Ruth Tatreau Obituary

Rockland Ruth Louise (Libbey) Tatreau, May 26, 2008 of Rockland, at the age of 83 years. Ruth passed away at the South Shore Hospital. Born in Milton, she is the daughter of the late Aldrich and Marion (Kellaway) Libbey. Ruth was educated in the Weymouth School system. Ruth worked at the McGillvery's Drug Store in Quincy, Raytheon and the Quality Control Division of Sigma Instruments of Braintree. Some of her hobbies she enjoyed were reading, bingo, crocheting, her Persian/Himalayan and Maine Coon cats and she enjoyed sharing many of the Lions functions with her late husband Everett. Ruth married her late husband Everett A. Tatreau on March 13, 1943, together they had three children, Dawn L. Spano of Braintree, Richard E. Tatreau of Quincy and Douglas M. Tatreau and his wife, the Rev. Ellen Tatreau of Albany, NY. Devoted sister of Beverly Pheanis of Lakeville and the late Aldrich Libbey, Jr. She is also survived by eight loving grandchildren, Scott J. Spano, Matthew B. Spano, Tracey M. Bittner, Lisa Quinn, Heidi Zeimer, Holly Tatreau, Elyse Tatreau, Amy Tatreau and by 11 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 31st at 11:00 a.m. in the Deware Funeral Home, 576 Hancock St., WOLLASTON. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth's memory to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
