Quincy Muriel M. "Mim" (Cox) Reimers, of Quincy, May 27, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Norman W. Reimers and Harold L. Peterson. Loving mother of Carol Ann Cummins of Abington, Stephen E. Peterson of Quincy and Susan M. Ginty of Abington. Loving sister of Barbara Stever of Weymouth, Eleanor Merrill of Worcester, James Cox and his wife Louise of Quincy, Donald Cox and his wife Carol of MS and the late John P. Cox, Jr., Beverley Becker, Edward Cox, Dorothy Gallo and Robert Cox. Sister-in-law of Isabel Cox of Rockland. Grandmother of Josh Lucas and his fiance Jaimie Gradus, Amanda Cummins, Scott & Kristen Peterson, Kaitlin, Brianne and Abigail Ginty. Great grandmother of Aiden Ginty. Dear friend to Mary & Pat Nevins, Helen Connolly, Pat Raybar and Melissa Angel. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mim's life revolved around her loving family, especially the grandchildren. She was attentive to each of them in her own special way. Muriel has many life-long friends that became her extended family. Mrs. Reimers is a loving, outgoing and compassionate person who always put others before herself. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Boniface Church and involved in many of their activites. She worked for many years as a clerk at Barkers Stationery, Bradlee's and Gilchrist's, all in Quincy. Muriel enjoyed BINGO, gardening, travel and summers at Peter's Pond in Sandwich. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St.,, Monday at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass from Holy Trinity Parish from Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Quincy at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday, 3-7 p.m. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Mrs. Reimers may be made to Make-a-Wish Foundation of MA, One Bulfinch Place, 2nd Floor Boston, MA 02114. It was my great honor to be one of Mim's bingo buddies for the last six years at the Senior Center in Weymouth. We all had a lot of laughs together and looked forward to teasing Mim. She had a very caring nature and shared her family triumphs with great gusto. I know she had not been the same since the death of Bev and they are probably playing bingo in heaven as we speak. I will miss her anecdotes via email. Peace and prayers...

To Mims family we want you to know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We all have so many fond memories of Mim and loved waiting to hear the punchlines of her stories. Some of us are still waiting!! We had some fun days at Peters Pond. Also at Carol and Ted's house for the holidays and gathering's with Mim and her many sisters and family.
