Betty Mattina Obituary

Weymouth Betty A. (Brown) Mattina passed away at her Weymouth home after a long illness with Non Hodgens Lymphoma. She was 73 years old. Born in Quincy, she lived most of her life in Weymouth. Betty was a Marine Vet. of the Korean War. She worked in the lunch program at the former McColough School. Beloved wife of Charles J. Mattina Sr. Mother of David C. Howland of Braintree, Scott B. and his wife Lauren Howland of Pembroke, Bonnie L. Howland of Holbrook and the late Brent E. Howland. Stepmother of Debra A. Mattina of Somerville, Janet L. Herrett of Randolph and Charles J. Mattina Jr. of Braintree. Sister of Dorothy Keating Goffstown, N.H., Peter Brown of Weymouth, Ronald Driscoll of Quincy, Richard Driscoll of Quincy, Sharon Powers of Hull, Charlotte Driscoll of Holbrook and the late Brian Brown and Robert Brown. Grandmother of Jennifer Adams, Wayne Herrett, Cory Sanchez, Taylor Howland and Amanda Howland. Memorial Service at the South Weymouth McDonald Funeral Home, 809 Main St. (Rt.18 opp. South Shore Hospital) Thursday at 11:00 Oclock. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8 p.m. Burial Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
