Marjorie Sarofeen Obituary

Randolph Marjorie M. (Friberg) Sarofeen, died June 21 at Cedar Hill Health Care Center. She was 79. A Randolph resident for 55 years. Marjorie had worked as a claims adjuster at Blue Cross Blue Shield retiring in 1991. She was the first crossing guard hired by the Town of Randolph. She was a Town Meeting Member and a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals. She also enjoyed boating with her family at the Town River Yacht Club in Quincy. Beloved wife of S. Peter Sarofeen. Mother of Peter Sarofeen and his wife Dorothy and Stephen Sarofeen all of Holbrook, Mark Sarofeen and his wife Nancy and Marjorie Kourafas and her husband Harry all of Randolph, Caryl Sarofeen Hunt and her husband Harvey of FL and Quincy and Ruth MacEachern and her husband Kevin of Scituate. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rte. 28) Randolph, Wednesday at 8 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Bernadette's Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Interment MA National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations in Marjorie's memory may be made to The Sisters of St. Joseph Mission Advancement, 637 Cambridge St., Brighton, MA 02135 or Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02215.

My Mother was a wonderful woman. She had a zest for everything in life. Mom and Dad were approaching their 61st Wedding Anniversary. Such a loving couple and my dear friends.
