BRAINTREE Janet C. (Casseday) Semple, 85 years of age, passed away at the South Shore Hospital on Sunday. She was born at Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and graduated from Chambersburg High School as well as the Feree School of Art at Raleigh, North Carolina. Mrs. Semple was an active volunteer in several local organizations including the Braintree Council on Aging and South Shore Hospital. She was a talented artist and particularly enjoyed drawing and painting. Throughout her life she had a wide variety of pets but her love for cats was preeminent. In addition to her husband William H. Semple she is survived by three children Constance Semple of Braintree, Prudence S. Bonham married to Harry Bonham of East Greenwich, RI, and W. Alexander Semple married to Lisa Semple of Hopewell NJ. She is also survived by her brother Edward P. Casseday of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and by five grandchildren.
