Billy,
When were growing up together, and around the time when we were your son's age, we were able to live our lives so care-free; seemingly just as Billy, Jr. did--with a love of sports, family and friends, and as a child who was so important to everybody's life he touched.
There may be people who have said that they can only imagine your pain. However, it is impossible, unless one has actually been there, to imagine the heartbreak of losing a child. For I know I could never imagine the anguish. So, on my behalf, I know that all I can do is to wish you my words of encouragement and express my most heartfelt condolences to you and your entire family.
Know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Know that all whose life Billy, Jr. touched are richer for having had him in their lives, and are poorer for having him left far too soon.
It is so vital for you, Samantha and your entire family to remember the joy and pride that Billy, Jr. brought to all of you. Remember the smiles, the hugs, the words, and the cherished memories. And know that when you look to the heavens, when your prayers are answered, they will be done so by God, along with his newest angel.

we loved it when he went up to hit and watch him run the bases! he put a smile on our faces! i loved it when he messed with the pitcher's mind when he was on 3rd base:)

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I also lost my son Shane, 17, on October 2007. Not many can understand truly our grief. It has been 7 months since my son wa killed it still hurts us all. He left a sister 16 and brother 12. I miss him dearly. Any time you wish to someone who truely knows what you feel always know I am here, Although it has been years and we probably don't remeber each other our babies have us in common. My son was killed in a car accident at 2:30 pm on 10/10/07 he was 17 should have turned 18 11/10/08. He never TOUCHED a drug, cigarette, alcohol and I still tucked him in bed everynight. I miss my best friend and my first born. I am here if you need someone who is in your shoes.
