Rosemarie Vallatini Obituary

Quincy Rosemarie J. (Montemagno) Vallatini of Quincy died Tuesday, June 24 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 72. Mrs. Vallatini was the loving wife of George L. Vallatini Born in Everett on April 3, 1936, Mrs. Vallatini was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Rose (Sclafani) Montemagno. She was raised and educated in Everett, graduated from Everett High School in 1954 and had lived in Quincy for the past 52 years. Mrs. Vallatini worked as a secretary for Katsiroubas Brothers Produce in Boston for many years until retiring in 2006. She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed cooking and traveling, especially to Texas, Europe and Florida. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Vallatini is survived by her children: George J. and his wife Maureen of Needham, Michael of Friendswood, TX, Paul and his wife Kim of Braintree, Joseph of Braintree and Lisa of Quincy. She was the loving grandmother of Heather, Joseph Jr., Cole, Julie, Paul Jr., Nicholas, Tracy, Scott, Elizabeth and William. Mrs. Vallatini was the sister of James Montemagno of Naples, FL, Josephine Ciulla of Marblehead, Edward Montemagno of Merrimack, NH and the late Joseph Montemagno of Yarmouthport. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin St., Quincy on Friday, June 27 at 9 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, 95 Crescent St., Quincy at 10 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday 4-8 pm. Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Massachusetts General Hospital, Breast Cancer Research, MGH Development Office, 165 Cambridge Street, Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114
