James Blute Obituary

Holbrook James M. Blute, of Holbrook died after a period of failing health at the age of 48 June 23, 2008. Son of the late James P. and Eleanor M. (Kearns) Blute. Devoted brother of Margaret "Peg" Manganello of Braintree and Eleanor Hill of Taunton. Also survived by 4 nieces and 1 nephew. Mr. Blute was born in Boston and has lived in Holbrook since 1971 and was a graduate of Holbrook High School. He was the former owner of the Ticket Connection, Saugus. He was also an avid sports fan. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin St., (Rte. 37) Holbrook. Funeral services Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial in New Calvary Cemetery, Boston. jimmy and i became baseball fans in the summer of 67. we would play baseball in the middle of hopestill st. with paul and peter gaughen then play kick the can till well after 10pm. he taught me how to play chess and was one of my best friends while growing up . we lost touch for 40 years or so when i happened to be thinking of him earlier this week. then i saw him in the ledger today and a piece of my childhood goes with him. my deepest sympathy to his family.
