jimmy and i became baseball fans in the summer of 67. we would play baseball in the middle of hopestill st. with paul and peter gaughen then play kick the can till well after 10pm. he taught me how to play chess and was one of my best friends while growing up . we lost touch for 40 years or so when i happened to be thinking of him earlier this week. then i saw him in the ledger today and a piece of my childhood goes with him. my deepest sympathy to his family.
