Arthur Christie

Quincy Arthur Christie of Quincy, formerly of Brookline passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at age 85. Born in Brookline where he was raised and educated, he graduated from English High School and attended Northeastern University. At the time of his retirement, he was a Regulations Specialist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston where he worked for 37 years and previously held the position of Production Supervisor in the Check Collection Dept. Art enjoyed travelling and was a member of the Greater Boston Bankers Assoc. and an honorary member of the American Albanian Veterans Org. The beloved husband of Joan ODonnell Christie, he is the brother of Margaret Christie of Jamaica Plain and the late Peter Christie, Tefta Kosmo and Richard Christie. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Louis Kosmo of Brighton and sister-in-law Ruth Christie of Saugus, as well as several devoted nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his many close friends and neighbors. His funeral will be from the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm St. (off Hancock St.) Quincy Center on Saturday, June 28 at 9:00am. A Funeral Service will be held at the Albanian Orthodox Cathedral in South Boston at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Friday from 4-8pm.
