Christopher J. Sophis

Quincy Christopher J. Sophis, 35, of Quincy died June 24, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. Beloved son of Mary (Fraser) Sophis of Quincy and Michael Sophis. Cherished grandson of Agnes M. Fraser of Quincy and the late John M. Fraser and the late Charles and Helen Sophis of Quincy and Hull. Loving nephew of Sr. Eunice Fitzgerald CSJ of Brockton and the late Ann McDonald of N. Weymouth and the late Rev. William Fitzgerald, SJ of Holy Cross, Worcester. Also survived by his cousins Tina Robertson of Quincy and Sharon Bowers of FL. Lovingly survived by many other family and friends. Chris was born in Boston and raised in Quincy and was a volunteer for many years at the Quincy Crisis Center. He was a loving and giving young man who will be missed by all. His funeral will be from the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St.(off Hancock St.) Quincy Center on Monday, June 30 at 9:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Jeromes Church, N. Weymouth at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
