Mildred Blanchard

Whitman Mildred "Millie" (Harris) Blanchard, 88, died July 3rd in the Norwell Knoll Rehabilitation in Norwell, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Alton Blanchard. Born in Brockton, a daughter of the late Lester C. and Mildred L. (Whynock) Harris. Millie was raised in Whitman, a graduate of Whitman High School. She was a Whitman resident for many years and retired to Florida. She worked at M.I.T. in Boston and the Eastern Machine & Design in Hanson. She is survived by her daughter Diane Holman of Pembroke, her brother Robert Harris of Marion, 3 grandchildren James Holman, Sodi Hahn and Sherri Dyer and 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Joseph Harris. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472 or www.alzmass.org.
