Mildred Blanchard Obituary

Whitman Mildred "Millie" (Harris) Blanchard, 88, died July 3rd in the Norwell Knoll Rehabilitation in Norwell, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Alton Blanchard. Born in Brockton, a daughter of the late Lester C. and Mildred L. (Whynock) Harris. Millie was raised in Whitman, a graduate of Whitman High School. She was a Whitman resident for many years and retired to Florida. She worked at M.I.T. in Boston and the Eastern Machine & Design in Hanson. She is survived by her daughter Diane Holman of Pembroke, her brother Robert Harris of Marion, 3 grandchildren James Holman, Sodi Hahn and Sherri Dyer and 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Joseph Harris. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472 or www.alzmass.org. Private services were held in the Northville Cemetery, East Bridgewater. Arrangements by the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Inc., Whitman.
