Johnston and his wife Debra of Halifax and Kathryn J. Giannelli and her husband Richard III of Augusta, GA. Loving grandfather of Cameron, Brandon, and Christian Johnston and Matthew and Samantha Giannelli. Brother of Jerome A. Johnston of Key Largo, FL, John Johnston of Homestead, FL, Joseph Johnston of Mansfield, Sarah Johnston of Attleboro and Ellen Cataloni of Norton. James was born in Cambridge, graduated from Christopher Columbus High School and Stonehill College. He was a manager for N.E. Tel & Tel. He served in the MA National Guard, Air Force. Funeral from the MacDonald Funeral Home, l755 Ocean St., Rte. l39, Marshfield, Friday, July llth at 9 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann by the Sea Church at l0 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday, 5 to 7:30 p.m. Contributions in Jamess memory may be made to The American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 0245l.
