Doreen Moul Obituary

Weymouth Doreen C. (Deardorff) Moul died Tuesday, July 8, at Pope Nursing Home in Weymouth of complications from Alzheimer's disease. She was 88. Mrs. Moul, a longtime resident of Bethlehem, PA, moved with her husband, Paul M. Moul, to Quincy in 1999. She was born and raised in York, PA, and was graduated from York High School in 1938. She and her husband were married in 1943. After World War II, the Mouls settled in Bethlehem, PA. After raising their three children, she worked as a secretary at the Visiting Nurses Association of Bethlehem. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing bridge, reading and spending time with her family. She and her husband traveled extensively in the United States, Europe and Asia. In addition to her husband of 65 years, she is survived by a son, Paul R. Moul of Haddonfield, NJ; two daughters, Dorinda M. Fergason of North Weymouth and Diane M. DeRubeis of East Weymouth; eight grandchildren, Maralyn Moul of San Francisco, Veronica Moul of Haddonfield, NJ, Audrey Fergason of Watertown, Gregory Fergason of Randolph, Timothy Fergason of North Weymouth and Paul, Emma and Sarah DeRubeis, all of East Weymouth; and one brother, Floyd Deardorff of Flemington, NJ. The funeral will be private. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to Memory Ride for Alzheimer's Research, c/o Team Doreen, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472 or the Alzheimers Association. Arrangements were by the Peck Funeral Home, Weymouth.

Paul and family...the whole Pope Family is very sad over the loss of Doreen.She will be remembered as a beautiful lady with a magnificent smile. It was our pleasure and privledge to have cared for her. Paul , you are an inspiration to all of us....your love for Doreen and devotion to her were so apparent...a lovely lady with a wonderful family...rest to Doreen and God's blessings to all of her family.
