William Pike Obituary

Ellenton, FL William E. Pike, passed into Heaven June 18, 2008, from complications of Alzheimer's disease. He was born September 17, 1924 to Catherine Kingston Pike and James Pike. He was the loving husband for 62 years of Doris (Macdonald) Pike. She was his best friend and caregiver in Ellenton, FL. He was a graduate of Boston English High and a 40 year employee of The Gillette Company. He served in the Navy in World War II and always loved to sail. He was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Snow. His surviving brothers are James Pike and Charles Pike. He will be so missed by his children, Cindy Field and her companion, Dominic Barillari of CT and Bill Pike and his wife Susan (who Bill adored) of OH. His grandchildren, Beth, Ryan, Ashley, Brittany and Jameson will miss his stories. A Memorial Service will be held August 9 at 11 a.m. at The Congregational Church of Brookfield at the junction of Routes 6 and 25 in Brookfield, CT.

Mr. Pike,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USN during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
