Dearest Auntie Maria, Yvonne & Bella:
It was lovely to see the family but so very difficult under the circumstances.Losing Anthony has been one of the most unimaginable tragedies in a lifetime ~ I have always had the wonderment and gratitude that my very large, blessed family had been spared this kind of loss before. It is especially hard to believe it, being someone so invincible to us like Anthony. Also after losing Uncle Tony so suddenly and young ~ you have all been so strong. I loved them both very much.
Anthony created an incredible energy and lit up the room around us with his personality, kindness, attentiveness and smile. He never let any one of us feel unimportant being so affectionate and a true gentleman. Even though he is our cousin, me and my sisters all had a "crush" on him when we were young. Never having a brother, he was the closest to that than we would ever know ~ and to my Mother, her very special Godson.
He will live forever in my heart and everyone who knew and loved him. I believe he will continue to live in another place, in eternal joy and peace. He has a wonderful wife and beautiful sons to carry on ~ testimony to the beautiful life he lived.
With all my love,
Susan

My strong wonderful cousin Anthony, 1979.

To my Auntie Maria and cousins Yvonne and Bella,
All the words in the world could never truly express the sadness my heart is feeling. I am so happy that I got to see Anthony last year after many years of long overdue absence. We spent a lot of time growing up as small kids but unfortunately not as adults. I truly have missed out on seeing our family grow and the family times together because of the many miles between us and the hectic lives we lead; this I regret. The loss of Anthony from our family is tragic and totally unimaginable and always will be to me. I am so proud to say I am his cousin. Everyone whose life he touched will miss him because of all that he was. The memory of him will always live in our hearts.

Love Always,

To my dearest Auntie Maria, Yvonne and Bella,
My heart is broken, my deepest sympathies go out to all of you. I can't imagine the grief of losing such a wonderful son and sibling. Anthony looked after me, as he did so many others. I remember him and Rudy, best buddies w/great corvettes. When I saw you Auntie, Bella & Joe at Jule's graduation, it was so wonderful and appreciated. I wished that Anthony and Yvonne had been able to come. Life gets so busy, you can't fit everything in. I'm thankful that Anthony had 3 sons and watched them grow up. I remember when I met Lizzie at the Marliave, she was so sweet and I was very happy for Anthony. I will be there for the services tomorrow. We will talk about all the wonderful memories we share of our beloved cousin. His grand spirit will live on forever in our hearts and will continue to guide us. I look forward to being with you all tomorrow and will celebrate Anthony's life and all of his accomplishments. The finest son, brother and cousin anyone could wish for. He will be in my heart forever,

Liz, Bella, Mrs Tufo and family,
We are very sorry for your loss of such a wonderful husband, brother, son, father and friend. We knew Tony from our Dad, John DeFalco of the Marliave Rest. Tony did work on my dad's basement and we never forgot what a handsome and wonderful person he was. I also went to BC with Bella, she was a year behind me, but I hung out with East Boston boys who knew her. I always remembered how protective Tony was of her. Our prayers and thoughts have been with you since we heard of the accident, and will continue to be there for you as you deal with this tremendous loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. It has been about 30 years since visiting with Tony, Pepe,Rudy & Jack Diamond, in the good ol' East Boston Heights section. I wil always remember Tony and his prized green 'vette as well as his wit & humor. Just the past several months, I met his co-worker, Jack, on the Commuter Train from Boston to Kingston, and I asked him to say hello to Tony from an old friend- "Murph." Jack did this and brought back Tony's greetings as well, with an invitation to catch lunch sometime, unfortunately that didn't happen. East Boston has been a foundation for forever friendships and priceless memories. Tony is a good representative of that. God Bless.
