Rita Valiante Obituary

Weymouth Rita V. (Lyons) Valiante of Weymouth died Wednesday July 16, 2008 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Rita was raised and educated in Dorchester and lived many years in Squantum and Plymouth before moving to Weymouth 35 years ago. After High School she worked for a manufacturing Co. at the Boston Fish Pier and later worked at WHDH Radio. Rita loved being with her family and caring for children. Her interests included playing bingo every Friday night, the Boston Red Sox and cruises. Beloved wife of the late Eugene Valiante. Sister of Margaret Ruth Sorrento of Plainville and the late George, Charles and Paul Lyons and Catherine Melchin. Loving aunt of many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Funeral from the SOUTH WEYMOUTH McDonald Funeral Home at 809 Main St. (Rte 18 opposite South Shore Hospital) Saturday at 9:00 A.M. Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, South Weymouth at 10:00 oclock. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday from 4:00 -8:00 P.M. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
