Bernardine Rines Obituary

Quincy Bernardine Travers Rines of Quincy, formerly of West Roxbury, entered into eternal life July 12, 2008 at her seaside home in Adams Shore, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years Frank Bud Rines Jr., and their five children. Loving mother of Joe Rines of North Weymouth, Bernardine T. Rines, Margaret Rines Lennon, Richard Rines and his wife Deborah (Faenza) of Quincy, and Thomas Rines and his wife Jeanne of East Sandwich. Devoted grandmother of Margaret Peg Lennon of Rockland, Paul Ledbetter, Jr. of Hyde Park, and Paul Lennon, Jr., Danielle and Richard Rines, Jr. of Quincy. Cherished great-grandmother of Timothy, Devan and Michael. She was born July 19, 1920 in Dorchester to John and Catherine Travers. A 1943 graduate of Emmanuel College, she was a founder of the Holy Name Church Bernardines and an avid bowler. Sister of the late Kathryn, John, James, Richard and Thomas Travers. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 227 Sea Street, Quincy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. At the familys request, interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Hospice of the South Shore, 100 Bay State Drive, Braintree, MA 02185.
