Russell Guarcello Obituary

Boston Reverend Russell V. Guarcello, age 92, in residence at the Regina Cleri Home, formerly of Braintree, died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the Regina Cleri Home in the West End of Boston after a lengthy illness. Beloved son of the late Joseph and Jenny (Botta) Guarcello. Devoted brother of the late Nancy Cascio, the late Grace Salvaggio, the late Alma Maglio, the late Dominic Guarcello, the late Louis Guarcello, and the late Mario Guarcello. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. A concelebrated Funeral Mass will be offered Monday, July 21st at 11 oclock in the Church of Saint Clare, 1244 Liberty Street, Braintree. Principal Celebrant will be Most Reverend Auxiliary Bishop John Anthony Dooher. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery, West Quincy. Reverend Guarcello will lie in state at the Regina Cleri Home, 60 William Cardinal OConnell Way, Boston, Sunday from 2-4PM and will lie in state at the Church of Saint Clare, Monday 9:00-10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rev. Guarcellos memory may be made to the Regina Cleri Home, 60 William Cardinal OConnell Way, Boston, MA 02114. Arrangements under the direction of the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, One Indepence Ave., Quincy.
