Karen Tringale Obituary

QUINCY Karen J. (Mahoney) Tringale, of Quincy, passed away suddenly July 16, 2008. Beloved wife of Guy Tringale. Loving mother of Adam, Alex, and Ashley, all of Quincy. Devoted daughter of Rita and Edward Mahoney of Quincy. Loving sister of Kathy Taylor of Merrimack, NH and Edward Mahoney of Rockland. Daughter-in-law of Philip Tringale of West Yarmouth. Godmother to several nieces and nephews. Karen will be remembered for her giving spirit. She loved to help others and never asked for anything in return. A CCD teacher at St. Mary's Parish, serving as president of the North Quincy Football Boosters, and volunteering as treasurer of the Montclair PTA were just a few examples of how Karen gave back. A participant in the Chernobyl Children's Project, Karen often cared for Russian children affected by the disaster, inviting them to her home in the summertime. From 1974 to 1991, Karen worked as payroll supervisor for Pneumatic Scale. She was most proud of her children and loved helping them achieve their goals whether it be school, sports or her daughter's dance. She was loved by all those she met and will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Monday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Mary's Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in Karen's memory may be made to St. Mary's School, 121 Crescent St., Quincy, MA 02169. Call 1-800-Keohane or see www.Keohane.com for directions and online condolences.

Mr. Tringale, Adam, Alex and Ashley:
I was sorry to hear of the loss of your wife and mom. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you during this time of loss in your lives. I remember Mrs. Tringale's times volunteering at the Montclair School. She was PTA president and shared in many tasks at our school.

One way of showing her love to you was being assured you received a good education! She was involved in the Montclair School for each of you. Your wife and mom certainly had a Spiritual Gift of Giving. I know she will be missed.
Love, Ms. Levarity (Hingham,MA)
