Mr. Dillon,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army during WW II as a member of the 97th Infantry Division-the "Trident" Division which the 386th Infantry Regiment was a part of. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. The 97th saw combat in Germany in the last months of the War and then transferred to the Pacific to prepare for the invasion of Japan when the Japanese surrendered.
