North Weymouth Claire R. Barrett (Farrell) age 85 of No. Weymouth formerly of Dorchester passed away at the Kindred Hospital in Braintree on Friday, July 18, 2008. Claire was born in Boston, raised and educated in Dorchester. Resident of No. Weymouth for the past 47 years. Retired in 1990 from the Bell Atlantic Telephone, New England Telephone Co. and later Nynex as Administrator Assistant after 37 years of service. She was member of the Telephone Pioneers of New England. Her enjoyment was spending time with family. Beloved wife of the late (B.F.D.) John Barrett. Devoted daughter of the late John W. and Doris (Buckley) Farrell. Sister of the late John Farrell. Survived by a loving sister Rita Worley of No. Weymouth and also loving aunt of Brian Worley of Weymouth and Denise Duncanson of Quincy. Funeral Mass was celebrated in the St. Jeromes Church, No. Weymouth on Wednesday. July 23, 2008. The interment followed in the Old North Cemetery, No. Weymouth. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place , Memphis , TN. 38105. mcdonald-funeralhomes.com

I was so sorry to see Claire's death notice. I worked with Claire at New England Telephone and she was one of the kindest and funniest people and left me with many fond memories. My condolences on your loss.
