Gary Hillis Obituary

Quincy Gary F. Hillis, 58, of Quincy, July 21, 2008, after a long illness. Beloved father of Scott Hillis-McDonald of Attleboro. Grandfather of Bailey. Son of the late Henry and Jeanne Hillis. Loving brother of Chris of OR, Kevin of FL, Mark Hillis of Quincy and Karen DeRosa of Braintree. Gary was a long time resident of Boston before moving to Quincy. Gary was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam 101st Airborne Division Veteran. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Clare Church, Braintree, Monday at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Quincy Veterans Services, 24 High School Ave., Quincy, MA 02169. Interment Bourne National Cemetery. For information, www.dolanfuneral.com.

Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a member of the 101st Airborne Div.-"The Screaming Eagles." And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
