Dear Bonnie and Family,

My deepest sympathy at the loss of your beloved husband and father. I knew very little of your struggle but, your heart didn't show any signs of it.

I know he was blessed to have you for all those many years. Your ache now is painful but, all those wonderful, happy memories that will come to you will help ease it.

God, has called him and now he is at peace and in time you and your family will be too.

If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

Bonnie,
Despite Richard's long illness, you were endlessly gracious and a beautiful caregiver. Gosh, Bonnie, I learned so much from you about hanging in there. What a lucky man to have you by him through all the rough stuff.

When I told her, my daughter asked, "What will she do?" I said, "I think she will open all the blinds and let in the sun."

Let in the sun, Bonnie. Thinking of you.

Mr. Schwerin,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served in the USAF during the Vietnam War and secondly for the citizens of Rockland when you served with the RPD. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
