Richard W. Schwerin

Braintree Richard W. Schwerin, Rockland Police Department, retired, age 64, of Braintree, died Thursday, July 24, 2008 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a long illness. Mr. Schwerin was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, raised and educated in New Jersey schools. He graduated from Teaneck High School in New Jersey. He had lived in Braintree for over the last 35 years. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked as a Police Officer in the Rockland Police Department for over 25 years. Beloved husband for 45 years of Elizabeth B. Bonnie (Nicol) Schwerin. Devoted father of Michael D. Schwerin and his wife Sonia of Lowell and the late Alan J. Schwerin. Loving grandfather of Heitor and Douglas. At the request of the family, Funeral Services were private. Graveside services were held at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
