Mary Mann Obituary

BRAINTREE Mary E. (Connor) Mann, 77 Years of age of Braintree Highlands passed away on Sunday July 27, 2008 at her home. She was born in Boston and had lived in Braintree for the past 21 years. She had formerly resided in Dorchester. She was a graduate of St. Matthews School and the Cardinal Cushing High School in Boston. Mary was a former secretary for the Coronary Care Unit at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester where she had been employed for more than 20 years prior to her retirement in 1996. She loved her home and performing gardening tasks. She was especially devoted to her children and to her grandchildren. She was wife of the late William H. Mann who died in 2002. She is survived by five children: Kathleen Hale of Lakeville, Theresa Seifred of Quincy, William Mann Jr. of Braintree, Patricia Hooper of Pembroke and Jeanne Gorman of Marshfield. She is also survived by ten grandchildren. She is survived by two brothers Jerome Connor of Arlington and Paul Connor of Norwood. She is survived by two sisters Ann Sheedy of Milton and Virginia Prout of Braintree. She is the sister of the late Francis Connor. Funeral from the Mortimer N. Peck- Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, BRAINTREE on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Clare, 1244 Liberty Street BRAINTREE HIGHLANDS at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Blue Hill Cemetery Braintree. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be sent to the National Kidney Foundation 85 Astor Avenue, Suite #2 Norwood MA. 02062.
