Peter G. Daly

Milton Peter G. Daly passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, July 26, 2008. Born, raised and educated in Athenry, Co. Galway, Ireland, Mr. Daly came to the U.S. as a young man. He had been a Milton resident for the past 38 years. A supportive, loving husband and father, Mr. Daly worked as an Inspector for the Boston Gas Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1996. He was a late member of Lower Mills Council #180, K. of C. and the Irish Cultural Center. The beloved husband of Joanne M. (Sullivan) Daly of Milton. He is also survived by his devoted children; Ellen M. Daly of Braintree, Peter G. Daly, Jr. of Quincy, Marianne Baker & her husband, Thomas of Walpole and John R. Daly and his wife, Bebhinn of York, ME, his loving grandchildren; Patrick, Shannon & Sean Baker and Colleen & Meghan Daly, his brothers & sisters; Patrick Daly of FL, John Daly, Maureen Keady, both of Ireland & Joan Woods of Waltham. He was the brother of the late Bernard Daly & Bridget Glynn. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory Church, Dorchester, Thursday at 11 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Wednesday 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be in Milton Cemetery.
