John Greene Obituary

Cohasset John F. Greene, age 83, of Cohasset, retired Clerk Magistrate of Boston Criminal Municipal Court, died Thursday, July 31, 2008 at home. John was a veteran of World War II and a graduate of English High and Suffolk University in Boston. Mr. Greene was also a member of the George H. Mealy Post, #118 of Cohasset. John was the beloved husband of the late Winifred (Arnold) and the devoted father of Maureen A. Greene and her husband, Francis J. Paradise, Jr. of Cohasset, Michael J. and his wife, Joyce Kirby of South Natick, and John F. Greene of Costa Rica. John was the brother of Edward Greene of Duxbury and the loving grandfather of Colleen, Michael, John, Derek and Caitlin. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 4 at 10 a.m. in St. Anthonys Church, Cohasset. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 p.m. at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthonys Church), Cohasset. Interment Woodside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Johns memory may be made to Hospice of the South Shore, 100 Baystate Dr., Braintree, MA. 02184.
