Marshfield Kenneth M. Bates, of Marshfield, August 1, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Judith (Lawrence) Bates. Father of Michael Bates of Plymouth, Timothy Bates of Plymouth, Heidi Bates of Brockton, Robyn Bates of Plymouth, Tammy Green of Plymouth and Ivy Bruns of Plymouth. Grandfather of Crystal, Lucy, Rebecca, Alyson, Taylor, Lauren, Kara, Jamie, John, Ceirra and the late Kearstin Hoeger. Brother of Robert Bates of Barefoot Bay, FL. and Janice Badger of Onset. Kenneth was born in Braintree, MA. and was a graduate of Weymouth Vo Tech High School. He was a resident of Marshfield for the past 25 years and formerly of Rockland. Kenneth was a retired Supervisor for the Town of Scituate DPW, Waste Water Treatment Plant and Sanitary Landfill,. He was a US Air Force veteran, Korean War. A Funeral Service will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home 1755 Ocean St (Rte 139) Marshfield on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment with honors will be at the MA.
