Frank Sartori Obituary

Rockland Frank W. Sartori, age 78, of Rockland, died August 6, 2008 at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a period of failing health. He was born in Quincy, son of the late Frank and Edna (Moore) Sartori. Frank was raised and educated in West Quincy, and attended Quincy High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Frank Retired in 2002 after working for many years as a truck driver for the Lorusso-Bristol Stone Corporation. Frank was an amateur airplane pilot and owner. He enjoyed flying to various destinations with his family and friends. Mr. Sartori was also an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was also an accomplished amateur wine maker whose recipe for Italian Red was enjoyed by many. Frank was a very active man belonging to many different organizations including, The American Legion Abington Post #112, Rockland Sons of Italy, Rockland Eagles, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Assoc., Hanson Rod and Gun Club, A.A.R.P., and the Rockland Senior Citizens. Frank was the husband of Florence (Magoun) Sartori of Rockland. Father of, Frank E. Sartori of Holbrook, and Faith A. Milks of Rockland. Grandfather of, Michelle Sartori, Franie Sartori, and Anthony Sartori, all of Holbrook. Also grandfather of Sarah Milks of Rockland. Calling hours in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St., ROCKLAND, on Monday from 5-8 p.m. Funeral in the Trinity Episcopal Church in Randolph, Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Washington St. Cemetery in Norwell. Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USN during the Cold War.
