Lois, or what most called her "Muffy" was my sister-in-law for the 20 years I was married to her brother, Allan (however, she always called him "Al"). I thought that Muffy was one of the kindest and sweetest people I had ever met. She put up with me very well even though I was her brother's second wife...and I was a bit younger than him. She and Dave were among the very few people that Allan and I invited to our wedding on March 22, 1975. Dave and Muffy owned a place up in North Conway, New Hampshire...within a 5-10 minute drive from where Allan had a chalet. I got to know my sister-in-law and her husband Dave a lot better because of that New Hampshire connection. I took the phone call from Bob Crook the night of Dave's fatal accident...and had to contact Allan who was out of town to break the news. I didn't want to wait until Allan got home to tell him and I chose to give him some time to process what had happened. I had tremendous respect for my sister-in-law and I tried my best to assist her in any way I could. I remember sitting by the edge of her bed and telling her that she was going to learn just how strong she was during this terrible event. I stayed in contact with her even after Allan and I were divorced until I left New England and moved to Florida. Rest in Peace, Muffy! I just checked the date of Muffy's passing...today is August 7, 2020, and my own mom passed at age 88 (13 months after I moved here) on August 8, 2000. Interesting synchronicity!

Dear Bobby & Rich,

Our thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time. I recall my parents saying what a sweet and gentle young woman your mother was when she met your Dad and joined our family. Muffy has shown such incredible grace and courage in the face of adversity and throughout her life. Her children and grandchildren are such a beautiful legacy.

With love and deepest sympathy,

Beth & Brian
