Margaret Jones Obituary

Hanover Margaret M. (Sweeney) Jones, passed away at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at age 67. Born in Quincy where she was raised, she was a graduate of Fontbonne Academy and Aquinas Junior College. A Hanover resident for 36 years, Margie worked as an administrative assistant at John Scott Nursing Home in Braintree. The beloved wife of the late Nathan S. Jones, she is the beloved mother of Kathleen M. Jones of Medford, Edward N. Jones and his wife Beverly of Rockland and David T. Jones of Hanover and the loving Grammy of Macie, Olivia and Celia Jones, all of Rockland. The beloved daughter of the late M. Joseph and Margaret E. Sweeney, Margie was the sister of Rosemary A. McLaughlin of Weymouth, Dennis S. Sweeney and his wife Pauline of Quincy and the late Michael J. and William H. Sweeney. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Gerry Sweeney of Hingham and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be from the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm St. (off Hancock St.), Quincy Center on Saturday, August 16 at 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint John the Baptist Church at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
