Alfred Lynn Obituary

Weymouth Alfred F. Lynn of Weymouth died Friday Aug 15, 2008 at the Radius Specialty Hospital in Quincy. He was 86 years of age. He was raised in Quincy and moved to Weymouth 55 years ago. He graduated from Quincy Trade High School class of 1941 and Wentworth Institute. Alfred retired from the Boston Naval Ship Yard where he was an electrician for 32 years. His job also included travel to Europe. After retirement, he worked for the Town of Weymouth Fire Alarm Dept. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WW II and was a link training pilot instructor. Among his interests, he enjoyed gardening, hunting, smelt fishing and sailing. He was a volunteer for the Weymouth Food Pantry and Meals on Wheels. He also enjoyed bingo and was an usher at the Immaculate Conception Church. Beloved husband of C. Frances (Conway) Lynn. Devoted father of Mary F.T. Lynn Cogswell of Jefferson , ME, Margaret F. Colligan and her husband Martin of Pembroke and Charles F. Lynn and his wife Suzanne Gill-Lynn of Abington. Loving grandfather of James M. Colligan and Meaghan R. and Kristofer C.P. Lynn. Brother of Marjorie Hagen of IL and the late Walter J. Lynn. Funeral from the EAST WEYMOUTH McDonald Funeral Home at 3 Charles St. (corner of Middle and Charles St.) Monday at 10:30 A.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, E.
